In the note I sent over yersterday there is no inconsistency in the method I denoted as faulty. Both methods I considered should be consistent, but leave one variable undefined. As an alternative approach I considered the electric field of a coil. Due to the windings one has

curl E not equal zero.

Then the condition

nabla E = 0

yields a contribution and the problem is well defined, see the note. We obtain two components of the vector potential and omega0 as variables.

Hello, We all got some emails from Gerhardt this week. I note that his web site counter shows 95 visitors. Up from 3 two years ago.

I believe that your irritation at him only promotes his site and encourages him. *Ignore him.*

I do wish he would honestly examine your equations, check things, find correct and any incorrect ideas, help correct them in order to find the truth. [Physicists are known to be a bit loose with formal math compared to mathematicians – remember Hilbert’s statement that physicists should not do math? Even Einstein had his problems at times.]

I do not think that Gerhardt will attempt to help, so ignoring him extinguishes him. He’ll go away eventually. It seems that he has an obsession with obstructing rather than helping. So what.

I do not answer him; I do not bother to read his emails any longer. I will not be involved in arguing if there is no chance of finding more truth. It wastes my time.

Thanks for this advice. This constitutes further evidence for aggravated harassment. I correct him scientifically then ignore him and report him to the police. As advised by the South Wales Police the corrrect procedure now is to contact the Darmstadt Police. You may of course ignroe him, unfortunately I cannot.

This is a psychological case study in itself. Lakhtakia write “to dust returneth”, Bruhn “sic transit gloria mundis” which means in Latin “thus passes worldly glory”. This is Sunday sermonizing at its most boring. So I answered “gloria mundis gloria mentis est”, which is Latin for “worldly glory is the mind’s glory”. The psychological profiling of these people would reveal the desire to destroy coming from an inner and perceived inadequacy. No balanced people would behave like this, as we all instinctively feel. They comb the web for every little thing that can be thrown, however trivial the speck of dust. This is actually a well known mentality in science, and Newton for example was subjected to such treatment for his first book on optics. Will do, but these are ruthless fraudsters – the method is always to set up a false argument or otherwise to distort and harass, so one must pinpoint the exact place where they start to distort, and demonstrate this on two or three occasions. They are perfectly prepared to argue against a computer – they are not concerned with truth or scholarship, merely to give a false impression in the most offensive manner they can. I wholly agree with the mole and the suspect is clear as in yesterday’s events. This harasser and vile abuser hides behind pseudonyms and is also ethnically prejudiced aganst the Welsh People. Such ethnic prejudice does not exist in the US, and would never have come from a US native. Thsi is because half the Signers of the Declaration of Independence were of Welsh descent and five out of the six of the first Presidents, including the greatest of all: Thomas Jefferson. So we all hope that the police can bring this person to trial, justice must be seen to be done. In Pennsylvania the Welsh influence is well known, particularly Philadelphia. No native Pennsylvanian would ever have sunk as low as this.
