Book Chapter Template

November 15, 2012

This is excellent and generous input form Robert Cheshire as usual, and I will add it as Section 21, adding Robert Cheshire as co author. We have until Nov. 1st 2013 to submit the chapter for refereeing.

FOR POSTING : LENR, UFT231 Sections 1 – 3 and Background Notes

November 15, 2012

This is UFT231, Sections 1 – 3 on a new theory of the Cartan tetrad and applications to low energy nuclear reactions with energy from spacetime. Section 4 is pencilled in as a computation of the transmission coefficient of LENR with a quantum tunnelling mechanism combined with energy from spacetime.

Book Chapter Template

November 15, 2012

This is a template in editable Word 2007 for any AIAS Fellow who might like to add a short summary of their own work or their own views on ECE theory as Sections 21 and so on, notably Alwyn van der Merwe, Horst Eckardt, Stephen Crothers, Gareth Evans, Frank Lichtenberg, Kerry Pendergast, Alex Hill, Sean MacLachlan, Robert Cheshire, Simon Clifford, Franklin Amador, Ray Delaforce, Steve Bannister, Kenzo Matsunami and others. The sections must be limited to about a double spaced page each, because there is an overall page limit. Just add any contribution to this editable file in the manner of Douglas Lindstrom’s Section 20. So the next section will be 21 and so on.

Invited Book Chapter for the Physics Layman

November 15, 2012

Glad you liked it! I would be very pleased to draft this up and offer it to Victor Riecansky as a journal article. It would be sufficiently different from the invited one (attached) that no copyright trouble would arise. Stephen Crothers is welcome to add a summary of his work to the attached. He is best placed to do it, then he will be a co author. Similarly for other AIAS Fellows interested in summarizing their own contributions in their own words. In the popular version I would try to bring across the work to the intelligent readership. The experimentalists have done very well in proving LENR, that is well worthy of all the big prizes for them.

Dear Myron,
I am writing this as the layman I am and as such having read through your book chapter several times, each time more and more awed by the enormity of the achievements made to date. It took this summary overview for me as a layman to really ‘get it’! Congratulations to all involved! I only wish I could pass this on to every other physics layman like myself on the planet. However, even better would be a version edited for this purpose (and perhaps with a little more about Stephen Crothers’ contributions), and in a language more suitable for such an audience. In any case, I assume that the original is under publisher embargo.

Kind regards,
Axel Westrenius

This is the first draft of the invited book chapter, reviewing UFT101 to UFT230. It is pencilled in as Evans, Eckardt and Lindstrom plus AIAS author group. Any comments or input from the group are welcome. We have almost a year in which to prepare it (to November 1st 2013). By that time it is probable that another twenty or thirty papers will have been produced if all goes well. Since this is based on an extension of UFT200 I request permission from Victor Riecansky to extend it for the invited book review, which marks the fact that ECE has been accepted worldwide as mainstream physics. The abstract submitted a few months ago has been accepted and rated very good to excellent in all respects. AIAS Fellows are welcome to add to this document in a discussion, outlining perhaps the general impact of ECE and the incredibly shaky basics of the standard model. For example Horst Eckardt, Douglas Lindstrom, Stephen Crothers, Gareth Evans, Robert Cheshire, Franklin Amador, Kerry Pendergast, Ray Delaforce and others.

Honours Forfeiture Committee and Fred Goodwin

November 14, 2012

This affair has been described as a village green lynching. Sir Fred Goodwin had his knighthood removed because of catastrophic losses by the Bank of Scotland. This was done by the honours forfeiture committee but the then Chancellor of the Exchequer had never heard of the committee. He resisted calls for the knighthood to be taken away, because honours are removed only if a recipient lands up in jail or is disbarred or similar. So it has been widely believed that Goodwin was victimized. This committee is very obscure, as google shows. It is not empowered to interfere with the Civil List. The Chancellor made the important point that if precedent is denied to victimize a person, the whole system of justice is brought in to disrepute. The other side would argue that Goodwin’s conduct was such as to bring the honours system in to disrepute. I would argue that all bankers are to blame for this recession, many were bailed out and after that took millions in boni, or bonuses. One can just imagine a Civil List Pensioner such as the late poet, Vernon Scannell, having his pension removed for writing a poem in free metre, or for having deserted the army twice in the second war and having been imprisoned in 1944 by the army. Of course his pension was not removed and cannot be removed. Anyone who would suggest such a thing is out of touch with reality.

Civil List Pension Assessment

November 14, 2012

Every two years or so the Royal Finances section of the Treasury assesses each pensioner. In this confidential letter each pensioner is assured that the pension, small as it is, can never be taken away. In the past seven years my pension has been increased twice. I would like to reassure the new energy community that the British Government is well aware of advances in LENR because of the obvious need for new energy. In fact governments consult www.aias.us all the time as the unique feedback shows. The First Lord of the Treasury is also the Prime Minister, and each Civil List appointment is made through the Office of the Prime Minister. The Civil List is voted in by Parliament as is well known. The pension by Act of 1837 is a token of the gratitude of Great Britain and the Crown for most distinguished services already rendered: in literature, the arts and sciences. Since I was appointed in an Act of Parliament of 2005, my work has gone from strength to strength, so has AIAS. Queen Elizabeth probably takes an interest in the process of selection of Pensioners, but the last word is with the House of Commons upon Prime Ministerial advice. Every Act is given a Royal Assent, a formality. There are some honours such as Order of Merit, and some Knighthoods, that can be bestowed by Queen Elizabeth without ministerial advice, in other words they are her own prerogative. Honors can be taken away by the Honours Forfeiture Committee. This committee is not empowered to remove a Civil List Pension. This can be read up on google. A Civil List Pension is in one sense the highest parliamentary honour in literature, the arts and science, and also a life appointment. An honour such as C. B. E. or Knighthood, O. M. or C. H. etc. is forfeited only for things such as criminal offences or gross negligence and similar severe misconduct. An honour is never forfeited for scientific or other types of opinion, or for criticism, such as literary criticism, or adhering to a particular theory. If that happened the whole system would be unworkable. This should all be very obvious indeed, but needs to be said because society at present allows a lot of unproven and anonymous accusations on the internet, some of them very abusive. It sometimes seems that merit has become a dirty word, but all nations must strive towards meritocracy.

Enquiry

Plas Dinam, Llan Dinam,

I would be most grateful for contact details for the Third Baron Davies of Llandinam. His grandfather the first Baron Davies of Llandinam made the bequest of the Edward Davies Chemical Laboratories in memory of Edward Davies. I would like to try to revive the EDCL on the Pen Glais Campus and affiliate it to the Alpha Institute for Advanced Studies of which I am President. There is a space allocated for chemistry on the Penglais Campus and in my opinion would make an excellent institute for advanced studies.

BBC impartial according to its Charter?

November 14, 2012

I have not had much to do with the BBC, except for the Hall of Fame citation. In my experience it goes by contacts, as in any other walk of life. I have done a few TV programmes and I think that Robert Cheshire would make an excellent producer or director of a documentary for the BBC. Keith Pottter at the Welsh Film Agency might extend an invitation for a chat with Robert Cheshire – he once mentioned a documentary, one on LENR would be timely. I guess that the BBC has its proposal routines, submit a proposal etc. I will chase them up about their invitation to me of a Desert Islands Disks programme in Welsh. Our own broadcasting though is just as good as anything auntie can cook up.
