Future Plans

That won’t be for thirty years, if ever. I remember your dog very well. It is a pity that she did not devour some administrators along with the chicken wings. If all else fails I could be embalmed and pickled in the solvent dump. I was almost pickled when I jumped out of the window. I was afraid that MMD would administer a reprimand for overuse of postage and computer paper and sleeping on the floor of the lab during visits from Oxford at his request. The paper and my visits to run your Ph. D. cost the EDCL nothing, but he did not know. Neither John Thomas nor Mansel Davies ever used the computer.

Future Plans

I will probably be cremated with ashes scattered on the farm that I grew up in that is overlooked by Bedwellty Church – or perhaps over that bit of ground in EDCL where Maggie, my dog, once buried some of Alan Price’s chicken wings intended for a student open day! On another occasion she started to bury a bag of tools! Usually though she was well behaved and lay patiently at my feet in the EDCL. She raised her eyes, ears and smiled once when a young MWE jumped from a lab window to avoid MMD!
