Civil List Pension to the widow of Ceiriog (John Ceiriog Hughes)

Ceiriog was considered the greatest lyrical poet in Welsh of Victorian times, and a Civil List Pension was awarded to his widow to mark gratitude of Wales and of Crown and Parliament for his poetry. The widow of Vernon Watkins was also awarded a Civil List Pension. About four or five Civil List Pensions were awarded to people from Wales in Victorian times. A Pension should have been awarded to Dylan Thomas, so he could at last buy postage stamps, but he died at the age of 39 from massively too much morphine administered by a quack doctor.
