FOR POSTING: Chapter Two Addition by Doug Lindstrom

This is a very important piece of work which shows that the geometry of Einsteinian GR is changed completely when torsion is considered. Torsion is centrally important and cannot be eliminated because as Doug Lindstrom shows here, the connection is antisymmetric. ECE2 is based on the antisymmetric connection.

Here is a revamp of chapter 2 (section 2.2 and 2.3) for PECE II. Antisymmetry of the connection is demonstrated for a general metric (not just the diagonal version), if my logic is correct. It was typeset with Mathematica, so a tex form can be easily generated.
I will go on (not for this book) to see what total antisymmetry of the connection implies, if anything.
