This paper introduces the ECE2 gravitational equation of fluid dynamics, and solves it numerically to give a precessing orbit. So orbital precession can be explained classically provided that the concept of a fluid spacetime or aether can be used. The rigorous canonical formulation of ECE2 fluid gravitation is developed in terms of the Hamilton principle of least action, and the Lagrange and Hamilton equations of motion. Any set of coordinates can be used, and the derivation of a precessing ellipse is exemplified in Section 3 using Cartesian coordinates.
